POLICY COUNCIL ELECTIONS
Policy Council is the group of members who shape our policy and campaigns between AGMs.
Being on Council provides a great opportunity to get stuck into the detail of what Liberty does and why. You don’t need to be a lawyer or a policy expert – just someone dedicated to our mission of defending human rights.
Here’s what one of our Policy Council members, Nataly Anderson, had to say about her experience:
“I joined Liberty, and Policy Council, to be able to defend human rights at a time when we are seeing these rights being rolled back. What I have found is an engaging community, chances to meet like-minded people and discuss fascinating and important topics. Policy Council members have a diverse range of backgrounds and experiences, and a wealth of knowledge. Yet Liberty is inclusive and welcoming to everyone.
It’s a chance to make friends, learn something new and make a difference. I would warmly recommend standing for Policy Council.”
The deadline for nominating members for election to Council (13 February) has now passed.
Ballot packs and candidate statements will be sent to members by mid-April.
More details about the AGM will be sent to members in the spring. If you have any questions, please email agm@libertyhumanrights.org.uk
We look forward to seeing you there!
